A luxurious hotel of the spa Mexican Cancun offer guests the realization of altruistic activities in poor communities of the state of Quintana Roo inhabited by indigenous Mayan.
The program “Maya Ties” seeks to extend the volunteer work already undertaken by employees of the establishment to the guests, who “every day show more interest in getting involved in the intended visit”, according to officials of the hotel Ritz-Carlton Cancun, one of the most luxurious Mexican Caribbean.
The Public Relations manager of the hotel, Paulina Feltren, explained to Afp that the tasks to be offered to guests, after payment of a donation of 1,500 pesos per person (about $110), consist primarily in the improvement of the facilities of these communities.
The activities will be in collaboration with the civil association nonprofit Kanché, which promotes activities based on the sustainable management of natural resources and cultural in order to that these communities can create ecotourism activities as a source of income.
