Russian Architects: “Aerotel”
Some Russian architects have designed what they call Aerotel, a hotel in the air to build in the water. In other words, the foundations of the hotel was built under water, but the construction in itself, is not on it, but a few meters above. The photo speaks better than my words. The aerotel, according to its creators, can be built in any body of water.
It is likely that this Aerotel is not among the cheap hotels, but well worth it, if you have money, leave a couple of nights to an Aerotel, when build one.
According to its web page, the cost of this type of buildings is smaller than to make an artificial island, and also preserves the ecosystem in the water, because they do not cut significantly its space.
